We're off on a tangent, but there's been many posts on gun control.
Legalising drugs would reduce crime by 70% in my opinion. Especially violent impulse crimes.
And as Currgra points out, the govt should treat it the same as tobacco and bring in enormous income to use for good.
Of course, restrictions should be in place etc, but in my mind this is the bigest mistake of the last 40 years. Just like prohibition, but nobody will accept it.
If somebody wants to run themselves to death on an amphetamine.....let em. Who's to say they wouldn't become a drunk on the streets anyway. Most people will decide enough is enough at some point and look after themselves.
