Whereas guns - frankly the average person does NOT need one even for protection..

The problem with this remark is that the police forces are not keeping us safe, crime rates continue to rise

The police forces are falling behind and spend an inordinate amount of their time raising money to pay their own wages and enforcing stupid politically motivated new laws.

Look at the rise in private security firms which are being tasked with the jobs that the police should be doing.

All that Howards buy back achieved was to remove guns from private citizens but not the criminals.

Any weapon, guns, knives, cars, baseball bats come with a responsibility to be used properly, this is what has to be enforced and changed.

Incidentally I am not in favor of the public having 100 shot magazines on assault weapons and saying that they want to use them to shoot rabbits.
