I would love to say there is no way they will not get the results they wanted, but there is simply not enough existing results from randomised and controlled studies on CBD's effect on sleep. From what I have seen though it does seem to be your higher doses 150mg plus that might have a positive affect.
On another note these studies can be a bit 'manipulative' if you know what I mean and that's why they also look at 'quality of life outcomes'. All the participants will really have to be sure they had no improvements across the board for this study to completely flop.
