I struggle with your post. Systemic collapse; yet you hold stock according to your disclosure. If you truly believed systemic collapse; wouldn't you have already sold out?

I don't believe your scenario is likely. PLA helps support both the Sth African finances via taxes, royalties etc & the indigenous community by providing jobs and an income. From which they spend on S.Africa's economy. This reduces the government's social burden. They merely want to ensure they are extracting the most money out of PLA that they can to bolster finances & support from the people. They are flexing their muscle with an intent to keep the money flowing in. Not to stop it altogether.
