Anyone notice the after-market buy-up of Quadrant yesterday? Fewer than 20,000 shares had traded all day when, at five past the hour, someone cleaned out 670,000 shares to leave QAD 3.5 bid.
This follows Wednesday's flurry when several millions suddenly appeared on the buy side and the shares went from 2.6 to 3.5 in a flash on the best turnover they'd had in a month.
I believe Michael Boyd attended a Board meeting of Iridium last week, and that the news from that quarter is most encouraging. Approach and etsDirect are also looking sexy.
I have said it before - on a risk/reward basis, QAD is a stock worthy of serious consideration. The Iridium asset alone can more than justify the current market capitalization of the company. Given the right market conditions, I believe this one could trade on significant multiples to where it is now.
All the usual caveats apply.
