While MPS and SiYi were very disappointed that the 20,000 units were deemed to be faulty and were withdrawn, they did agree to a revised field trial plan and order (ie 5000 units).

Given that, I really doubt that they would have just changed their mind without explanation. (That would have been totally unconscionable). Hence my view that something else must have happened (after the 5000 order) that SBN is not telling us about or doesn't know about.
