interesting facts about syrian oil output

Some interesting facts about the syrian output of oil and gas in 2011. All the major oil companies including Gulfsands oil and Shell are GO, Go, Go with production and exploration.

" Syria produced 70.092 million barrel of petroleum in the first half of the year 2011 with a rate of 387. 250 barrel a day and with 957 barrel a day increase

According to the General Establishment of Petroleum data, the national companies produced 52% of the total amount.

The total amount of petroleum delivered to Homs and Banyas refineries was 43.710 million barrel, the exported petroleum for the same period was 27.793 million barrels.

As for gas, Syria produced 5.483 billion cubic meters of gas in the first half of the year 2011 with daily production rate of 30.29 million cubic meters and with 3.009 million cubic meters increase per day.

931billion cubic meters of clean gas were produced and 171 million cubic meters were imported from Egypt.


Also, the Petroleum Ministry of Syria has quoted saying:

" The news of obstacles hindering the loading and unloading operations of oil tankers in Tartous and Banyias ports are untrue, an official source at Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources said on Wednesday.

The source added that 4 oil tankers were loaded and unloaded this week as scheduled, stressing that the ports are operating normally "

All in all Im very confident that all is moving forward in our block 9 and we should get some updates very soon.
