People seem to be forgetting that the Burundi government are not cancelling/abrogating or in any way not delivering on a contract. All they are doing is exercising their rights to not extend an agreement.
AGY and Andover have not fulfilled their obligations under the agreement to achieve certain objectives in the 3 year timeframe given. As far as I can see it's over.
The Burundian government have long held doubts about the ability of AGY to develop such a large and important deposit, no one is going to blink if a major steps in the take on the obligation. It's probably odds on that this will happen.
Sorry chaps but given the time this has taken (around 8 years, maybe more?) and how little the project has advanced I really can't see this being reversed.
