    Not really just that you nominated Angus, Hereford and Shorthorn as being Euro breeds. They are called "British breeds" as they were developed in the British Isles.

    I think the poms would be very upset if you called them European.

    Limousin cattle have changed markedly and have great temperament and some very good early maturing types.We supply direct to butchers and they love them because they produce fine-grained meat and lots of high value cuts.Researchers have also identified a tenderness gene present in Pure French Limousin cattle.We now buy bulls that have this gene to ensure the highest quality vealers.

    At the end of the day you grow what does best in your area and what the buyers want.We always avoid the saleyards so that cattle go directly to slaughter at a works which is only 15km away.Butchers cattle get priority and are processed first thing the next morning with minimal handling and stress.
