Interest rates and looser lending as you suggest
Possibly some first home buyers will be put off apartments by the Opal Tower and Mascot Tower debacles. Whilst AVJ has some exposure to apartment buildings the bulk of their work is houses and townhouses and their reputation is good. This might be a tailwind for AVJ. I would feel more comfortable buying a new house off a reputable ASX listed builder.
