Not just Tesla, Siemans the German company just brought out their 1Mwh and 2Mwh batteries that can be put into configurations up to 100Mwh.

Grid scale use of lithium batteries is going to catch all the experts "unaware" just like Buses did last year. Then the experts will tell you no-one could see this demand coming.
Sorry, it is easy to see and so many grid scale battery packs will be bought by utilities and big businesses around the world, that within a year these large batteries will be a huge growth area and keep the price of lithium high, and the 'experts', that the media will quote will again state that no-one could see this type of demand coming.

I would expect that grid scale demand for Lithium will be greater than EVs by the end of next year, with a 1Mwh unit using about 1t of LCE, so a 100Mwh battery plant using 100t of LCE.

We should all have a 1Mwh battery in our back yard (on a farm), so that all sorts of heavy power uses can be covered. Many farms have a SWER line (Single Wire Earth Return) so have to use petrol and diesel motors for every heavy application, like pumping, or large coolrooms during harvest season etc. If every shed was covered with solar panels and you had one of those Siemans batteries, all types of costs become cheaper, without draining the battery too much.
