Thanks @Swage_17 - yes, having a significant % of your revenue tied up with just one (or even a few) customers is major risk for any business. If we hypothesize that Amazon was one of the 5 customers making up that 89% revenue (a distinct possibility), and they decide to increase the size of their own dispersed team of contractors in the near future (also highly probable as indicated by article), it will almost certainly mean a reduced reliance on Appen for a number of services, thereby significantly impacting revenues. Potentially naive to think Alphabet wouldn't be adopting a similar approach to Amazon, given the outlook both of these massive players have on the future of AI powered by natural voice, and I gather either them or a number of their subsidiaries are almost certain to be Appen clients. Be really encouraging to see Appen continue to deepen the breadth of their customer base. Will be interesting to learn what progress they're making in China at the half yearly.
