    I completely take your point, Cat, for the technology. It seems they have been pivotal in developing (commercialising) it, but is can't be a keeper, as making money from it is a totally different skill set. I am sure that an announcment targeted their 50% for disposal.

    However - any Gold Producer has a problem getting rid of plant tailings. This processing method is chemical free, so presumably the tailings, after processing, are usable. Sell them or dump them? The decision is easy. A clients of my firm who is a concrete supplier pays $15 per tonne plus cartage for washed manufactured sand as a concrete ingredient. If GBM is getting one gram of gold per tone ($ 30), then the extra $15 makes a big difference, (and more when avoiding disposal costs).

    Similarly with alluvial gold deposits - many gold deposits are come out of fairly decorative rock (once its processed).

    It's an industrial level sell - not a total culture dis-fit.

    So ... it back to the issue of what are they producing?
