I wouldn't read too much into Malcolm Turnbull's investment.

MP's have significant conflicts of interests with their investments, so for example they can hardly debate the mining tax say one day, whilst trading in and out of resource stocks at the same time.

Normally a weathly guy like Malcolm would put all his investments into a blind trust whilst he is in parliament and have a fund manager or someone manage it on his behalf without his knowledge or direction. I vaguely recall reading that Turnbull did set this up when he first entered parliament, but I wouldn't have thought it would lead to disclosures on the record, so I'm not sure.

Nevertheless, it could just be a fund manager acting on his behalf and we have plenty of those buying and selling LYC already.

There's nothing in this story. He's lost money already anyway. Best move on to something more relevant to talk about.
