CipherPoint's comments on Binding Agreement to be acquired by Covata

CipherPoint is now part of Covata
August 16, 2017 – The CipherPoint team is pleased to announce that we have entered into a binding agreement to be acquired by Covata Limited (ASX: CVT). You can read the full announcement but below is a quote from Covata CEO, Ted Pretty, that covers a lot of the bases.

“The acquisition of CipherPoint will, on completion, represent a step change in delivering Covata’s strategy to become a leading DSP [Data Security Platform] provider, and enabling customers to seamlessly secure information as it moves among data centre, private and public cloud environments. CipherPoint’s existing integrations into the Microsoft stack will improve integration with key applications used by our customers”, said Ted Pretty, MD and CEO of Covata.

CipherPoint and Covata have a shared vision to be the leading provider of a fully integrated Data Security Platform. Data needs to be secure and compliant no matter where it is stored – in the data center, in the Cloud, and even as it is shared with other organizations. The Microsoft ecosystem is a great starting point since Microsoft undeniably owns the enterprise when it comes to worker productivity tools like SharePoint, Outlook, Office, and Office 365.
