Documents previously served to the Commonwealth following the rape trial showed Ms Higgins' was seeking a $3million compensation deal from the Commonwealth and two former Coalition ministers.
She reached a settlement with the Commonwealth after just one day of mediation but the terms of the deal were not made public.
The exact amount has not been confirmed, but the claim was expected to be worth about $3million, including $2.5million for future economic loss, past economic loss approaching $100,000 and general damages of $100,000.
