I'm not sure I understand what you are saying re the comparison with Dick Smith and "feeling different".
I would expect many to cast their minds back a month or so ago and look at the global comparisons for services companies. On nearly every measure, SPO was trading at a steep discount to its peers. That to me "feels" like where the action will be. The results are released, the analysts review the numbers in their models, the analysts realise their assumptions on SPO have been too pessimistic....... the market kicks!!!
Volumes traded this week are down on average. The smart money is not making sizable bets either way. A surprise (up or down) will have a marked impact on price. Given Mr Shepherd is on his last warning and there is a new Chairman in town, I reckon we will see a positive set of numbers this half.
Looks like we have very different "feelings" there, Bloomer!!
