interesting times

Now my mind's been thinking since watching the business channel last night on Austar. They had an exclusive that a settlement with Opes Prime clients and the two financial instos was imminent with a figure between 60 to 70 cents thrown about. The terminology of imminent is under scrutiny here but what if it's in the next couple of weeks. Neither financial insto was apparently available for comment.
I don't know how the magical figure is determined at this point ie is it from the date that this mess started so for SLA is it when the share price was around a dollar (60-70 cents of this figure) or is it as of a date yet to be determined.
Now here's my two train of thoughts.
Scenario one - Will the directors be repurchasing shares once they receive their money and/or repaying possibly for existing loans that helped fund recent purchases if this were the case. To date no substantial holding information has been released about the 54 million shares bought so the initial thought maybe a possibility given that they were prepared to pay over a dollar recently even when the company hadn't advanced as far as what it has.
Scenario two - Will the share price be inflated by a bombardment of news just in case it's a future date that the 60 to 70 cents in the dollar is calculated on.
There maybe other ideas floating around. I don't know whether these two scenarios have any credence but it does make you think doesn't it.
And yes I am holding alot of SLA/SLACF. Do the usual research.
