Pattern and buy sell orders suggest traders accumulating and actively trying to keep the price in the 15-16c range to buy cheap.
When that happens and the fundamentals are improving, sometimes it can be a little like the dam breaking when they can no longer keep a lid on the SP. The traders know that, let it run, then sell off.
