My estimates are in line with those in the paper, $3-5 extraction and $2 Vic Brown Coal levy.
I think their production cost is lower as they use 25 year depreciation, i was on about 10, but that is not a large component of the cost (as above).
They don't have figures for royalty payment to a coal owner for export, nor transport and handling to the coast.
The paper is describing sales to a mine mouth power station, and assumes all the product is used internally.
Trying to decipher the payoff in the paper, I think they are close to my $25 per tonne product, after allowing credits for carbon and ash. (I disagree that Coldry provides an ashing benefit, whereas Exergen, for example, does).
