Well no one is 5g equipped since it wont be a defined standard until 2020+. So everything that is a speed and bandwidth increase on 4g can be considered next generation or somewhere on the road to 5g. All of these trials and prototypes going on with Ericsson and various partners (who are all racing to be the leaders in 5g progress) need rapid turnaround of their prototypes. Something which Ntc excels at. This may be in part the reason for Netcomms growth of R&D personnel.

I wouldnt be surprised if Ericsson is recommending ntc to their partners for development of the client side part of their solutions.
