Make no bones about it, at the time Ziggy was appointed Telstra CEO, senior Telstra staff were of the opinion that Australia had (and still has) amply qualified Australians who could lead the company. One such person is Neil Gibson. Just look at Telstra's sp today and wonder where it would be if the likes of Gibson was given 1/2 a chance.

I still find Gibson's appointment to BRO's board somewhat of a mystery. No doubt this man knows what strings to pull and the fact that his "mates" are backing him to the tune of in excess of $800,000 is testimony to his perceived ability.

One thing I will say is that Gibson is a welcomed addition to BRO and certainly a far cry from the recent con-men who almost succeeded in forcing the company into insolvency.
