I essentially agree with everything you said, but I'll just add a caveat. Over the last couple years I've worked at a range of facilities that do iron infusions and the facility-specific clinical practice guidelines all mandated to have a crash cart outside the room of the patient being infused. Additionally, I think dual-nurse baseline clinical observations followed with fifteen minutely, graduating to hourly and then a post-infusion watch period. I'm not certain but I believe it's more strenuous than the procedure for a blood transfusion and no facility I've worked at allows iron infusions over night due to lower staffing.
All to say, it is not something to be taken lightly and I can't be so certain of the trial outcome as yourself.
