I've read that IBX's SPIONs are the superior nanoparticles out there (15 years in the making) which is why they would have been selected for this study with the baby MRIs - I'm not sure that we have a patent over them but Bob Proulx responded that no one else can muscle in on the technology because it's a trade secret the fact that the company can manufacture the perfect nanoparticle.
