Now I’m second guessing myself. My understanding: Unless the MRX scan can pick up all types of breast cancer - initially it will (hopefully) be able to see HER2 positive breast cancer (20% of all breast cancers). The MRX scan is used after someone has a diagnosis of HER2 breast cancer. The person is injected with the antibody coated nanoparticle to see if they have HER2 antigens in their lymph nodes. If they do —> lymph node clearance. If they don’t —> avoid lymph node clearance.

There’s no point in someone going straight from mammogram to MRX, because 80% of cancers won’t show up on MRX.
