From article it is clear China has had a total ban on Magnets being shipped to US for a while. It has now been extended to entire world. Which will make it much harder for the US to circumvent. If they follow it up with a ban on Dy and Tb shipments. Then only source of high performance magnets will be China. Japan will only be able to make low performance magnets for simple motors and refrigerator magnets. This will mean China totally controls high end motors and generators.

I know many think that Lynas will be able to ship TB and DY soon. JMO this is 3~4 years away. All it will take for me to change this opinion is Lynas shipping sample quantities of Dy and TB. With Lynas track record on meeting their time and volume predictions I have to see something before I believe.

If all of you want to believe that is fine with me. I would like a few facts as to why I should change my opinion. Maybe Wee will be correct about robots and robo taxis, then I will be very wrong. What I do not understand is even small factories use robots for most of what they do. Granted they do not have humanoid shape, Does he think people will replace these with new robots because they look like people. Even Warehouse goods are already being moved by robots not people.
