Australia is sending treasurer Jim Chalmers to Beijing for first time since 2017 for high level discussions on critical minerals amongst other things that include coal and iron ore and can have a critical impact on Australia’s budget. Things are getting serious. Could be part of drive for unified G7 response to China over production including REE in particular? Will happen by end of September so we don’t have to wait long.
