If you want to cherry pick Climatic Events try reading up on the Hunga Tonga Hunga Haopai Eruption it happened 2months earlier (15th Jan 2022 ) than the Antarctic heatwave mentioned in the Guardian Article . The Eruption is regarded as the biggest Eruption ever recorded on Earth .
If you believe in the Greenhouse effect then you will be interested to know the Eruption put millions of tonnes of water vapor into the upper atmosphere.
The most disturbing thing about this is that at the time Scientists were reported as saying that it wouldn't have any effect on Climate .
I have since read some Scientific reports that suggest it did change the Climate .
