I think we will see more of this happening in the future, Not just in US but all over the world. Look at a 20 year chart of REE prices not exactly one that would encourage exploration which is always high risk. Since so little has been spent on exploration once people start doing it they will find more. Much of the REE that has been found so far was discovered while looking for other things. Uranium and coal for example. I think Mt weld is one of the few places that they were not looking for or mining something else first.
