So you finally realize that Lynas is not making it on its own, that is good. Instead of getting out and waiting for things to become better then buying back in you want government handout to get you through. Just for record Government Handout seldom do much for stock price except a very short jump when they receive it. Just like the US ones in Texas they are CAPX offsets to help with expansion. This helps cash flow a lot. It take 20 or more years to recognize it on the bottom line so it helps yearly earnings very little. When using their own money for CAP X it does not hurt bottom line till it is amortized over the next 20 years or longer.

In US, I do not know AU accounting rules but they are probably very similar, Even Direct bail outs have to be amortized over some period so that does not have a quick hit to earnings or SP either. Lynas will have to be compliant with US rules for all the Texas money. It is good to know how what you wish for effects things.

In conclusion Gov hand outs will have no impact on Revenue. It will help earning but not till the plants are completed and in operation, Then only a little per year over an extended time. There will be a jump in SP when they get it. Over time the impact will be small.
