Let you into a secret. The PM of India went to the "Paris Accord" gathering to tell them what they could do and precisely where they could go. It is my understanding that the Chinese Premier had a quiet word with him about da money India could be getting and lo and behold, he said nothing except asked for assistance of 2.5 trillion dollars.

And another thing - the "undeveloped countries" had told the "developed countries" in the past to make the sacrifices because THEY had caused the problem in the first place through their industrialisation. It was now time for the "undeveloped countries" to industrialise and they would do so with gay abandon. So one has to wonder if the UN came up with this "bribe" as a way of appeasing the "undeveloped countries"??

And one more thing - Chindia could not give a rats about climate change IMO - their concern is to reduce pollution for the health benefits for their people!

The assertion that China and India have no obligation under the Paris agreement is false. China agreed to a 60% cut in emission per unit of GDP while India agreed to a 30% cut per unit of GDP.
