    True, WBC and the other banks are not and are unlikely to be as profitable as they were back in the day. The RC and etc has seen to that- probably a good thing.

    The question for me is- could banks be as profitable in the future as they are on 09 May 2023? Or, could bank share prices be higher in the future than they are on 09 May 2023?

    So, I agree with many of your assertion- maybe even most of them.

    Right now, I took profits twice yesterday, so thinking at what price today I am willing to take another profit and risk missing out on the dividend and franking credits? Ahhh, franking credits.
