Agreed, the woeful series of CEOs, BOD and errant, lazy management over the decades is the prime cause of its haphazard existence and sp underperformance without explanation and still ever increasing remuneration packages. How do they get away with it in plain sight? Pathetic.
It should have been buried when it virtually died in the 1980’s -early 1990s as evidenced in Edna Carey’s 460 pages 1997 book The Bank that Broke the Bank.
