Just rang VMG. They told me result still awaiting finalisation from the auditors and will be released after close of trade this afternoon.
Hard to know what to expect. They have made aprox 3.3m net profit this half down from 11.2m in prev corresponding period. So not a train smash but...

New profit is 30% of prev. Prev div 5c. Hence, i expect today's div to be 1.5c or 2c. Anything less and it will send a signal that VMG has little confidence re its future. And we all know how this mkt reacts to sign of further weakness in earnings.

i wish i had never heard of VMG after first buying in at $1.79!!! But if report stipulates deterioation has stopped i will put in bottom drawer. No point in taking a 90% loss on a company that is profitable/viable.

I also expect to read strong measures have already been implemented re cost controls. The more info we get the better. Leave us in the dark and traders will smash another few cents off SP.

I am reasonably optimistic result will soothe the mkt. Unlike BLY.
