I know many have a differing opinion re divi payouts.

I would like a divi myself, being retired, the cash comes in handy in any amounts, both via my CMC trading account and also into my SMSF.

I also totally get the buy back argument, to reduce the SOI and so increase the demand on the SP. Upset them darn shorters! It does seem to me though that to significantly reduce the SP would take a substantial amount of the cash in hand.

Then there is the just hang on to the cash for future investment/MA strategies, or as a hedge against periods of low Li price returns (like the present).

All the above is IMO sound business.
But I say again as an aging share-holder, give me the divi, whatever % is available. Selfishly, it does me good and also I think demonstrates our status and establishment as a top tier producer - and is great for the all important SP sentiment. To pay out a divi one year and not the next is demoralising, is it not?.
