Extremely sensible and level headed post.
The previous dividend did absolutely nothing for the share price
(Except perhaps reducing somewhat the impact of other downward factors)
(While maintaining the good reputation of the BOD for honouring their commitments)
Welcome as dividends might be to holders with short term concerns
the best policy in a storm is to lower the sails until the storm passes by.
This preserves the ability of the ship to survive with all its financial strength.
Then to navigate calmer more profitable waters with added success.
