Having a quick look at the pros and cons of different batteries available now i wouldn't be surprised if they are still searching for optimal practices if the tech is still being developed as a whole.

a typical lifepo4 for example will take huge charge current . Typically a 12v 200ah can easily swallow 25 amps or more with no issue.

The use variables that need to be nutted out include , charge current, ability to trickle as at ver take bulk, optimal depth of discharge, the speed of current drain, temperature control(lifepo4 won't charge at very low temps) shelf life and effect on capacity over time.....all whuch can affect each other and end result

id suggest the reason you may not get good answers from them around what they are doing is because control of variables like charge currents etc can lead to improved cycles or performance .....so is technically relevant and potentially.commercially sensitive.
