It seems to me that the JW organisation is vocal - as is their right - about persecution against their own members for exercising their rights to religious freedom. The irony is that their behaviour towards members who exercise their rights to religious freedom by leaving the organisation and family members who refuse to become members is a form of persecution.
I would rate their doctrine that does not allow their children to celebrate birthdays and Christmas with their peers as a form of persecution. The same applies to denying them of life saving blood transfusions by applying obscure interpretations of scripture.
My conclusion is that while being vocal about persecution against their members for practicing their rights to religious freedom they should avoid the persecution of others for practicing their rights to religious freedom.
