    At the core of religion is the notion that our misery, suffering, tears, torment and hardship while here on hearth can be somehow compensated in a life after death.

    Where does this idea come from? Here is what the Bible recommends.
    Ecclesiastes 3:12, 13) I have concluded that there is nothing better for them than to rejoice and to do good during their life,  also that everyone should eat and drink and find enjoyment for all his hard work. It is the gift of God.

    (Ecclesiastes 9:10) Whatever your hand finds to do, do with all your might, for there is no work nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom in the Grave, where you are going.
