Agreed.
The radioactivity is concentrated on its processing. But after addition to the tailings it dilutes to a level thats less than whats naturally present.
Mind you this isnt what is seen in a Greenies brian. They see uranium barrels floating in the tailings dam, radioactive tsunamis coming down the mountain and being forcing their children to eat three headed chickens.

According to studies the radioactive levels seem to raise 1% from the dust created from the operation. Again its nothing.
But the greenies see people walking down the street falling over dead for no apparent reason besides a newly sprouted limbs from their ears.

The flora and fauna arent effected much. Mainly as theres none there to begin with. Theres no fish in the Kvanefjeld water body as its too toxic and if you look at every pic youll see theres no plants there at all. It looks like Mars.


Theres many REE mines in flourishing regions. But yet Greenies seem to think this Yet despite the fact Greenland is 2.16 million sq kilometers and Kvanefjeld is 0.000001% of it.
Greenies seem to think their entire tourism industry will evaporate as they can no longer visit this very toxic lake on a scrap of their lands total area thats not even mentioned when you google wiki it on a list of doens of popular water bodies eg lakes, fjords etc

So it doesnt even appear to be listed of any worth.

In fact only one tourist group seems to go there. Doesnt look in demand at all.

The site isnt even advertised as a natural wonder but
"Narsaq is located next to the pristine Kvanefjeld mountain; site of one of the richest rare earth mineral resources deposits in the world, and one of the largest sources of uranium"

So its big claim to fame within tourism is due to its worth as a huge resource of REEs and uranium as seen by that one hiker above who went there for that reason.
Greenies...Hundreds of millions a year in income from a new industry benefiting the world or a handful of tourist loss (probably even more geology tourists wanting to observe an active mine and its pristine workings worthy of being possibly one of the worlds finest.)
The decision is obviously troubling when you have over active imaginations or a total lack of understanding of the project..

Like that old fuddy duddy fella at the AGM who was told by the experts
"Shut up...You dont know sht" by the experts before he was put back into his uneducated hole with a flood of information he knew nothing about as hed been too busy trying to make it up..
It was actually pretty dam funny to watch. I wont forget that one ever.
Absolute classic watching him having to face facts with a look like a lame rabbit frozen in your headlights.
