Yes International airfares have got rather cheap, our recent return to Xi-an China from Auckland $600 p/p
( 2 flights, one domestic within China to Xi-an . 11 hrs + 2.5 hrs = 13.5 hrs)
The NZ domestic to AK return was $300.p/p......( 1 hr ) robbed.
There is a cheap domestic airline ( Jetstar ) but I would never link that to an international flight, too unreliable as many travellers have discovered .
