With up to 2 million Australians struggling to have three meals a day, what the hell is the Salvation Army doing giving free meals on a daily basis to international students?
Furthermore, what check-ups, if any, are done on international students to determine their ability to handle the cost of living during their time in Australia?
It seems like madness to just accept international students left, right and centre who can't afford to pay their own way.
Surely international students, upon application to study at a particular university and upon applying for a student visa, have to prove their ability to afford the trip to Australia and their ability to fund their own studies and lifestyles whilst in the country. Anyone who can't shouldn't be admitted.
