Do you expect Western women to go to the ME and protest over there at their treatment? If you took off your blindfold, there are changes happening, especially in Saudi Arabia, where women are making progress with their human rights themselves. They are empowered by the feminist movement of the West.
You can’t expect all countries to be at the same point, because men are much more involved and more aware in the West than they are in the ME. In the West, certain equalities have already been achieved, so the next target is equal pay. Places like Africa, ME, Etc are still way behind in the most fundamental social and political attitudes and practices that subjugate women. Change will come, but it will be slow, as it has been in the West. Geez, it’s only been one hundred years since women won the right to vote. If there wasn’t so much opposition from belligerent men it would happen sooner.
