Trend following systems take buy/sell positions 'midway' into the action - their logic is that many keep losers long and sell winners early. Hence, short squeeze and buying late due to fear of missing out is more common and few pick absolute bottoms and tops. These systems trade in a systematic way to make small profits and make up numbers by trading many markets.
Gotta trade your system if it works and you can stay profitable, it's a good system. If candles work for you, then that's a good system for you. If trend following works for you, then it's the best system. If you prefer long-term options, then that's the best option for you .... etc
