ASX-listed medical imaging and data management solutions vendor Mach7 Technologies has teamed up with cloud-native picture archiving solution (PACS) vendor AdvaHealth Solutions to offer an interoperable PACS and vendor-neutral diagnostic viewing platform package to healthcare organisations in the ANZ region.
The two companies hope to offer a best-of-breed solution for medical imaging through AdvaHealth’s cloud-native AdvaPACS along with Mach7’s eUnity “zero-footprint” enterprise diagnostic viewer.
The duo say they are focused on enabling healthcare organisations to transition towards the next generation of cloud and vendor neutral computing. They are both active in the Asia-Pacific and Oceania regions.
Mach7 is headquartered in the US but was bought by ASX-listed Melbourne firm 3D Medical in 2016 for $60 million, with the combined entity remaining on the Australian securities exchange under the Mach7 Technologies banner.
The company specialises in image management and viewing solutions for healthcare, which includes a cloud-based vendor neutral archive (VNA) and data administration tools for storing and viewing images across a healthcare network.
In July 2020, Mach7 bought Canadian company Client Outlook and its eUnity enterprise diagnostic viewing technology in order to augment Mach7’s enterprise data management and departmental workflow applications.
The eUnity solution is now being offered in association with AdvaPACS for an end-to-end solution.
AdvaHealth was set up by RANZCR-qualified radiologists in 2019. In addition to the PACS solution, it also offers software for result reporting that allows radiologists to see a single unified worklist that and manage data from multiple radiology information systems (RIS) and PACS in one consistently presented reporting worklist.
AdvaHealth says AdvaPACS is a cloud native system that allows medical imaging specialities to access cost-effective, scalable DICOM image storage technologies and transition to a full software as a service (SaaS) model using the storage and processing advantages of the cloud.
AdvaHealth Solutions CEO Alan McCarthy said the partnership would use the next-generation of computing and interoperability to enable a best-of-breed solution that is integrated to solve problems using a standards-based mentality.
