When the sample size is not large enough to find any difference between the groups (a situation of weak statistical power), the P value becomes larger, which makes researchers unable to find any differences between the groups
I get what you are saying, that’s for mathematical model, in clinical setup P > 0.05 means ‘no difference was found in the observation, but the researchers do not know whether actual differences exist or not’.
