Remarkable increase in share price after the announcement of a capital raising today.
Obviously this is different to many other capital raisings in that the ex-date is two days after the announcement date giving people the opportunity to get in or out before being allotted the rights to participate in the raising.
It will be very interesting to see where the price lands ex-rights. I think this will depend on whether today's buyers were mostly traders trying to make a quick buck thinking they can sell their shares above the TERP, or whether they are long term investors concluding that the post raising entity is particularly attractive and want to be on board now.
Opinions from those more experienced following this stock anyone?
I'm not a shareholder but am interested in the dynamics of the raising.
