For those of us who are 4dx enthusiasts (skeptics are welcome too), I've had a dig through the video to understand the technology in layman terms:

4DX technology:
- Dynamic 4D imaging captures real-time lung motion and airflow during breathing. It creates a 3D movie (forgive me, I'm a layman) of the lungs by taking a chain of x-ray pictures in quick sequence. This allows drs to diagnose all parts of the lung with next-level scrutiny and find any areas where the airflow is restricted. Compare this to the current technology (CT, MRI, X-Ray) that shows only a static image with only the structure of the lungs at a single moment, without airflow data. (CT scans expose patients to significantly more radiation but we've heard the CYC dialogue before)

- huge informational disparity between 4dx and current standards which cannot directly measure lung function or airflow in real-time. It provides functional imaging specific to airflow in various lung regions, revealing patterns invisible with traditional scans, such as areas of high and low ventilation.

XVD could eventually replace CT for a wide range of lung conditions, providing a safer, more detailed option for both early diagnosis and treatment monitoring.
