Please find attached the latest edition of Intersuisse’s Quarterly Review of the listed Life Sciences and Biotechnology sector in Australia.



The Review, to the end of June 2009, highlights the performance of Prima Biomed (ASX: PRR) as the best performing stock in Intersuisse’s Biotechnology Index over the past 12 months, along with the relative strong performance of the listed-Biotech sector in Australia.



The Intersuisse Biotechnology Index covers the performance of 77 leading ASX-listed Biotechnology sector stocks.



The Intersuisse Biotechnology Index reports that;

· Prima Biomed was the best performing company over the 12 month period to 30 June 2009 - with a share price gain of 400%, followed by USCOM (316%), Nanosonics (100%), Tissue Therapies (94%) and Heartware (91%)

· Prima Biomed was also the best performing stock for the 6 months from 31 December 2008 to 30 June 2009 - with a share price gain of 900%, and

· Prima Biomed was also the best performing stock for the 3 months period from 31 March 2009 to 30 June 2009 - with a share price gain of 163.2%



The Intersuisse Biotechnology Index also reports that;

· The Australian life science sector rebounded in the June quarter, gaining more than the All Ordinaries and the NASDAQ Biotechnology Index

· The Intersuisse Biotechnology Index showed an 18.2% increase for the quarter, compared to the NASDAQ Biotechnology increasing by 9.7% and the All Ordinaries Indices rising by 11.8%.

· For the 12 months to June 2009, the Intersuisse Biotechnology index finished 3.2% up despite the All Ordinaries Index falling 26.0% and the NASDAQ Biotechnology Index being down 5.6%.

· Of the 77 constituents of the Intersuisse Biotechnology Index, 25 showed a price rise over the 12-month period.
