David Bo11ocks (Pocock), ACT senator is part of some protest against Middle Arm at Parliament house on the 8th of august. Claiming Beetaloo will be responsible for 89MTPA of C02.

Smells a bit funny to me considering (quick googling), back in 2014 (no new plants since then more or less) that we exported, 24 mt per year and 13 mt a year lquifiy the stuff. So for beetaloo to hit 89 mta, excluding any saving opportunties with CCS and beetaloo having lower carbon, for beetaloo to hit 89 mtpa they would need to almost tripple the total luquification capacity of all the LNG plants in QLD, NT & WA put together?

Can he be sued for such fragant miss information? Surely as an elected representative of the people he has a responsibility to provide accurate information to his electorate?

Wonder if he knows how much extra CO2 is required to ship LNG from the US or the gulf states? Wonder if he knows how much CO2 was used/released in the cement to lay down the tram lines in is home electorate (could of made the whole fleet of ACT buses electic for the cost of the first line)
